Lateral Profiles trials the cross network “viral promotion service” on Valentines Day with Vodafone NZ and Telecom NZ.

Did someone anonymous send you Roses on Valentines Day? If they did, but they were of the SMS variety, chances are they were forwarded from the Lateral platform. A handful of SMS Roses were let loose from the Lateral server early in the morning and by the evening of Valentines Day thousands of hits requesting Roses to be forwarded had been received. The service worked seamlessly across both networks.

Live celebrity SMSChat with SUM41 on ChannelV.

Euro-rockers SUM 41 were in studio at Channel V this week. Our Celebrity Chat interface was used with Channel V SMSChat to produce a unique mobile celebrity Chat experience. Also adding interest was a live prize draw for users who had entered the SMSChat SUM 41 competition in the previous few days.

New Zealand’s first major cross network premium SMS competition started today.

The Lateral platform and network is currently being used run a trivia game to coincide with the England New Zealand cricket series. Promotions company TXTStation were responsible for promoting the Lateral service on two TV networks who carried the cricket broadcasts. An attractive prize list, including a car is on offer.
