Clocking up 1,000 SMS promotions
Way back in October 2000, Lateral ran one of the world’s first SMS promotions. It was also one of our biggest ever, generating over 10 million messages. Since then SMS promotions have become our daily bread, with as many as 10 promotions running on any one day and the team have now exceeded the 1,000 promotions mark.
Lord of The Rings SMS promotion ends
Lateral has just concluded the LOTR SMS viewer promotion for TVNZ and Roadshow. The promotion was a trivia based contest to select a winner for a trip to the Return of The King world premier. The points based system required users to get correct responses to multiple questions over several nights. The powerful user management tools, delivered by Chat 3, were used. This is the third year in a row that Lateral has done the LOTR promotion.
