Lateral adds extra voting options and Chat to NZIdol
NZIdol concluded on the 17th October with Rosita Vai winning over Nik Carlson in one of the highest rating TV shows of the year. This year Lateral added two new initiatives to the Idol experience. Firstly WAP voting was added to the telephone and SMS votes. The WAP voting was available via the mobile portals supporting the show. Secondly IdolChat a branded implementation of our successful TXTChat service.
“IdolChat and the WAP voting were important initiatives with a really promising future for a number of shows. These initiatives extend the interactive viewer experience outside the confines of the show. In particular IdolChat created the mobile equivalent of water cooler discussion for days after each show.”
