TVNZ and mobileTXT work on interactive projects with SMS
TVNZ, New Zealand’s premier Broadcaster is working with mobileTXT on a number of projects using text messaging, web, 0900 and WAP as the interactive mechanisms. TVNZ owns TV1, TV2 and the nzoom Internet channel. Early projects included the Flipside current affairs program and a viewer promotion for the “Lord of The Rings - The Two Towers” movie premiere. Text messaging is proving to be a highly effective viewer interaction medium for TV. We’re delighted to be working with a broadcaster who have seen through the superficial hype of interactive services and grasped the opportunities it offers for improving the value proposition to their viewers. Innovative ways of combining mobile and non-mobile interactions with the viewer experience will be rolled out over the next few months.
