Mobilisation Strategy:

ACP is one of the largest publishers in Australia and New Zealand.

ACP publish over 50 magazine titles including the some of highest circulation magazines in Australasia plus they own more than a dozen web portals.

Lateral has been working with ACP on a mobilisation Strategy since 2005.

Mobilisations strategies have included:

  1. Conversion of the on-line vehicle search to mobile for ACP Trader Magazines
  2. Implementation of a buyer “alerts” SMS system for trader magazines and on-line auction sites.
  3. Mobilisation of the Taste magazine with a mobile recipe search
  4. MMS to website service for on-line trading sites

The Trader Group Initiatives:

Online mobile search: The on-line search service allows any mobile user to simply send an SMS to initiate an on-line search for any vehicle in the Trader Group database.  The Trader Group database is one of the largest vehicle databases in Australasia.

As well as the mobile search several SMS alerts system have been developed.
These include the buyer alerts system.  Users enter search criteria on the Trader Group web site and are notified whenever a match occurs.

Mobile Tag: Each item in the database has a unique code (the Tag).  If the user sends that unique code by SMS they will receive both an SMS with summary data and an email to their email account with rich data about the item.

MMS to website messaging:

This service enables a user to take a camera phone photo of a product they have for sale and send by MMS to a short code (or email address)

These photos are stored permanently against the users account in the on-line trading site.  At any time the user can create a “for sale” action and add the photos from the user account.

The MMS to web site enables users to take photos when it is convenient, without the need to download images to a computer.

Taste Magazine mobile recipe search:

Taste Magazine is one of the most popular cuisine magazines in the region.  It has an extensive on-line recipe database.  The Taste mobile search enables shoppers to locate recipes and choose ingredients on the go.
