TribalG's holding company, Lateral Profiles was incorporated in June 1994.
It has been active in development of bespoke software and development services for mobile telecommunications companies since 1995. The company, and it’s staff, have a great deal of experience in project management, design and development of large scale technology projects in telecommunications and other industry sectors. This experience provides a unique blend of creativity and rigorous management.
The company has focused on mobile service applications since 1998. In 1999 it started to develop the concept of the “Mobile Community”, which included Chat, Blogs, Bulletin Boards, and Information Services for SMS and WAP.
It’s first mobile community services went live in 2000, with introduction of TXTChat for Vodafone Australia and New Zealand, followed by a range of Voting, competition, trivia and TV interaction services in 2001.
We pioneered interactive SMS voting for TV programs, Text2win sales promotions, Text2TV, and SMS trivia games in early 2001.
The product base has been continually revised over the last 7 years to ensure we can anticipate and deliver the best solutions into the market.
Our current Social Networking platform (TribalG) – developed from the earlier “Mobile Community” product is the result of many man years of work, representing an investment of over 5 million dollars (NZD).
The most recent release of the TribalG platform (product) represents a true leap forward in conceptual thinking. This platform is not just a social networking product but an entire environment for the development and deployment of large on-line mobile communities, which can be tailored, customized and localised for the unique needs of each partner and client.
Currently our mobile community (social networks) interconnect's across mobile operators from Australia, NZ and North America and in each case the operator has it's own unique user interface.
The product base has been continually revised over the last 7 years to ensure we can anticipate and deliver the best solutions into the market.
