Roger Grice – ‘The Big Kahuna’
Chief Executive Officer
Roger is a graduate in Engineering from University of Canterbury. He is a founding Director of Lateral Profiles Ltd. a world leader in development and deployment of Mobile Service technology.
Previously he has held a number of senior positions in IT, including Project Management, Sales and Marketing Management and General Management. Previously in the engineering field he specialised in the use of computer technology, such as Finite Element and Modal Analysis, to design complex engineering structures.
For the last 8 years Roger has been a zealot for the promotion of mobile services, to mobile operators, marketing companies, media companies and to the public. He has been responsible for delivery to the market of many world leading mobile service innovations.
Roger continues to have an interest in engineering and is a Board Member of Duke Engineering Ltd a company specializing in developing and licensing IP protected engineering innovationms.
Roger lives in Auckland, New Zealand near the sea, enjoys skiing, surfing and any watersport. He also has interests in a number of successful racehorses.
Bob McAuley – ‘Tribal Elder’
Chairman
Bob is a founding Director of Lateral Profiles Ltd. a world Leader in development and deployment of Mobile Service Technology. He was previously Director of Sales and Marketing for CSC (NZ) Ltd., now HP (NZ) Ltd. one of the region’s largest computer and communications companies.
Previously Bob was General Manager of ComputerTime and the architect of this company's rapid rise to pre-eminence as one of New Zealand's most successful computer companies.
With over thirty years experience in the I.T. industry, Bob is one of its best known and most highly regarded Managers.
Bob has jointly managed the progression of Lateral Profiles from a small innovations company into one of the largest and most successful on-line mobile services businesses in the region.
Bob lives in Auckland New Zealand and can be found on a golf course most weekends. He has had a life long interest in horse racing and is an owner and syndicate manager for several successful race horses.
Martin Keene – ‘Chief Tribal Drum Beater’
Chief Operating Officer
Martin initially started his career as a software developer before moving into a product creation and customer facing career.
Martin spent 5 years at the worlds largest mobile operator Vodafone. In the initial 2 years he was responsible for Vodafone Australia's Wireless Entertainment portfolio in which he launched a number of Australia 1st products as well as managing the ever successful Ringtones and Wallpaper products. The following 3 years was spent commercialising and rolling out the Premium SMS product taking it from zero revenue to a $100 Million business within 3 years and bringing on 35 clients, 8 of which came from international markets.
In the last 18 months, Martin spent 6 months in New York assisting an Australian Mobile content and application company establish their business from start-up and since his return to Australia he has worked closely with a further 3 Australian/NZ companies move their business models to the exploding business landscape in the US.
Previous to Vodafone, Marty also spent several years working for the Forte Group in an Strategic Business Development Manager of New Media and has strong on-line skills and understanding.
Mark Moselen – ‘Tribal Witch Doctor’
Director Client Strategy
Mark served almost 10 years with Vodafone New Zealand to June 2006. With extensive experience gained in the corporate sales division Mark moved into his later role at Vodafone, responsible for the implementation and development of the Mobile Messaging Communications (MMC) channel. This sector enables third party service providers to deliver mobile messaging and content services to the New Zealand mobile market. Responsibilities included the creation and execution of a business strategy, channel propositions, recruitment planning, introduction and building of the MMC team, development of a strategic partner programme, and the introduction of network resources required to excel the growth of the channel. Upon the implementation of the MMC channel, revenue growth exceeded 400% in its first 12 month period.
In June 2006 Mark joined a leading international mobile marketing service provider based in New York and Los Angeles, to assist with the building and development of the company's US operation. Business activity involved working closely along side US advertising agencies to provide mobile solutions, integrating mobile programmes into cross media campaigns with the objective of connecting brands and consumers. Responsibilities included business planning, account and project management, staff planning, and operational process development.
In 2007 Mark took his US and mobile experience to Sydney Australia, working as an independent business consultant providing services to assist local companies in launching their mobile marketing operations in the US market. Services provided by Mark include strategic business planning, recommendations to successfully take services to market, recruitment planning and the facilitation of US business itineraries for company executives with the view to creating business opportunities.
Norman Holtzhausen – ‘Tribal Oracle ’
Manager Solutions and Technology
Norman has been a member of the Lateral team for several years and is responsible for the continual development of our capability and technology. He has a long history in the mobile services and messaging industry, developing and marketing solutions for pre-pay phone billing, convergent communications, unified messaging, mass messaging and mobile browser services.
Norman is a Commerce Graduate with Post Graduate qualifications and management.
Previously Norman owned or managed several successful IT ventures in multiple countries.
Norman has the unusual ability to grasp technology concepts and overlay them on the business landscape to generate successful technology solutions.
Norman moved to New Zealand several years ago and now lives in Auckland. He has a passion for water sports and is well known in New Zealand as a writer of books and periodical on the subjects of boating fishing and marine technology.
Peter Binny – ‘Tribal Weapon Maker’
Technical Development Manager
Peter is one of the longest serving members of our team, having started with us in 1996. He has had extensive experience on large scale software development projects in the four corners of the world. His experience includes development of large scale loyalty card solutions, financial systems, human resource, hospital management and telecommunication systems.
Peter has a Commerce Degree, post graduate qualifications in systems management, and industry related qualifications. He has worked on large projects in Europe, Asia, Australasia and South America.
Peter is the architect and leader of the development team of the TribalG Social Networking platform. It is Peter’s mix of creative flair, dedication to standards and broad understanding of software, that has enabled the TribalG platform to reach it’s current level of sophistication.
Peter is a keen observer of technology and technology trends. He is a keen sportsman having played basket ball and volley ball at a varsity representative level. He lives in Auckland where he is keeps busy with an active family life.
These experiences provides a unique blend of creativity and rigorous management.
